Ingredients

- 12 fresh sardines, gutted and cleaned

- 2 crushed garlic cloves

- Juice of one lemon

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 1 teaspoon ras el hanout

- Salt and pepper

- Chopped fresh parsley

Preparation

1. Mix the garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, ras el hanout, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.

2. Brush the sardines with the marinade and let them rest in the fridge for 15-30 minutes.

3. Grill the sardines for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are nicely browned.

4. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve hot with lemon wedges.

Tips: For a smokier flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika to the marinade. Serve with crusty bread and a tomato salad for a complete meal.
