GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING - ESSAOUIRA COOKING
1. Introduction
These General Terms and Conditions of Booking govern the reservations for culinary experiences offered by Essaouira Cooking.
More than just a cooking class, each experience is an immersion into Moroccan and Berber culture, based on sharing, discovery, and respect for local traditions.
Any reservation implies unreserved acceptance of these conditions.
The Essaouira.Cooking website is published by the company Humanow, whose registered office is located at 17 Princess Lalla Amina Avenue, 44000 Essaouira.
2. Offered Experiences
The offered experiences include, depending on the chosen package:
- Welcoming participants;
- Discovering local products and Moroccan spices;
- Preparing Moroccan specialties;
- Sharing a meal;
- The drinks included in the experience;
The experiences are organized in small groups to maintain their convivial and personalized character.
Menus may vary depending on the seasons, availability of fresh products, and the daily market. This flexibility is an integral part of the authenticity of the experience.
3. Booking
The booking becomes final only after:
- Confirmation by Essaouira Cooking;
- And, if applicable, receipt of the required payment or deposit.
A confirmation is then sent to the participant.
4. Prices
The prices specified include only the services described at the time of booking. Unless otherwise stated, they include in particular:
- Ingredients;
- The included drinks;
- The cooking equipment;
- Supervision;
- The meal prepared together.
Personal expenses, transport, or services not mentioned remain the responsibility of the participant.
5. Payment
Payment is made according to the terms indicated at the time of booking. Depending on the booking channel, payment conditions may vary.
6. Modification or Cancellation by the Participant
As each experience is specially prepared for participants (purchase of fresh products, organization, preparation of the venue), the following conditions apply:
- Cancellation more than 7 days in advance: full refund.
- Between 7 days and 72 hours: 50% refund.
- Less than 72 hours in advance: no refund.
- In case of no-show, the full amount of the service remains due.
Any cancellation request must be made in writing.
7. Modification or Cancellation by Essaouira Cooking
In exceptional cases, Essaouira Cooking may have to postpone or cancel an experience, particularly in the case of:
- Illness;
- Serious family event;
- Exceptional weather conditions;
- Inability to conduct the experience under good conditions;
- Force majeure.
In this case, the participant may choose between:
- Rescheduling the booking;
- Or a full refund of the amounts paid.
No other compensation can be claimed.
8. Delays
Participants are invited to arrive at the specified time.
In case of significant delay, certain stages of the experience may be adapted to ensure the smooth running of the class.
Without news from the participant after a reasonable period, the booking may be considered abandoned.
9. Allergies and Dietary Requirements
Participants must indicate at the time of booking any:
- Food allergy;
- Intolerance;
- Special diet.
Essaouira Cooking will do its best to adapt certain preparations when reasonably possible. However, due to the simultaneous presence of many ingredients, the total absence of allergen traces cannot be guaranteed.
10. Health and Safety
Participants commit to respecting the instructions given during the experience.
Knives, kitchen equipment, cooking devices, and utensils must be used carefully.
Any intentional damage may result in a claim for compensation.
11. Respect for the Premises
The experiences take place in a private house.
Participants are invited to respect:
- The premises;
- The equipment;
- Other participants;
- The neighborhood.
Essaouira Cooking reserves the right to immediately interrupt the participation of any person whose behavior compromises the smooth running of the experience, without refund.
12. Photographs and Videos
Participants are naturally invited to take souvenir photos.
Essaouira Cooking may also take photographs intended for illustrating its website or social media.
No photograph identifying a participant will be used without their consent.
13. Liability
Essaouira Cooking does everything possible to ensure the safety of participants.
However, each participant remains responsible for their personal belongings and any damage resulting from non-compliant use of the equipment provided.
14. Force Majeure
Essaouira Cooking cannot be held responsible for the total or partial non-performance of a service resulting from an unpredictable, irresistible event beyond its control (natural disaster, pandemic, administrative decision, general strike, etc.).
15. Personal Data
The information collected during booking is used solely for organizing the experiences. It is never sold or communicated to third parties, except where legally required.
16. Governing Law
These General Terms and Conditions are subject to Moroccan law.
In case of a dispute, the parties will endeavor to find an amicable solution before any legal proceedings.
