What a memorable evening! Khadija welcomed us in her beautiful home and taught us how to prepare and cook a delicious chicken lemon and vegetarian tajine. We also had mint tea and biscuits while having great conversations in her living room. We received the recipes afterwards and will definitely try this at home! I'm so glad I chose to do this class, I felt at home and definitely recommend this experience! Shukran Khadija for making my day a special one!
Our cooking class took place directly in a Moroccan family. We were allowed to cook in a beautifully furnished apartment. Everything was clean and prepared. We were allowed to cook couscous with vegetables and chicken. Khadija and Mohammed were great hosts and gave us a wonderful evening. Khadija showed us how to prepare it, while Mohammed treated us with tea and cookies in between as we waited for cooking steps. They worked harmoniously as a team, and we had a wonderful exchange over many hours. The food tasted so delicious, we will cook it in Germany as soon as our large Moroccan plate arrives. We love Morocco and the hospitality one encounters there. Thank you both for this delightful evening, and if you come to Germany, we look forward to treating you to a Swabian dish. Warm regards from the four of us: Benschamin, Laila, Angi, and Andreas
We will not forget this experience anytime soon! Our expectations were definitely exceeded. We assumed that 8th is standing in a kitchen with other people and a cook/chef shows us how to prepare the local dishes. However, we have turned to Khadija and her husband's home. Her very friendly husband Mohammed has opened the door and kindly asked us inside. We felt directly welcome. You immediately had the feeling we were at home with our family. The apartment was chic and clean. Then we started cooking in an extra separate room. Everything was nicely on the table and tedious work like peeling pomegranate was already done. First we were served a mint tea, as well as delicious baked goods from Morocco. Then it was time to cook. Everything cut for the salad and the Tajin rides by. After the salad and tajin were ready, we took care of dessert (baklava). We were then allowed to do that independently. Everything was super fresh and delicious. Eating was quite authentic, together in the salon of the apartment. Here, conversations were held again about things you only hear when you talk to locals. At the end Khadija packed us leftovers that we ate in the evening. For us 11/10 stars very clear! Exactly the experience we were looking for. We were also asked beforehand which menu we would like to learn/cook. We recommend everyone to have this experience and would do it right back!
